The weekend turned out pretty not bad. Went in, fresh engine just fired up Friday at noon, with a carb straight out of the box, no timing set (light grew legs, it happens🤷‍♂️) went with the ol “turn it a bit, see what happens” method. Gained 11 seconds from day 1 to day 2, then the trans quit the team on the last run. That’s racin’. Chase the weak points and try again.

The generosity of Visa Rentals & Leasing is astounding! Not only have they helped a ton with fuel, but Ol Darrin wouldn’t take no for an answer and set us up with a pretty swanky tow pig for the weekend. Igor was a little upset but he’ll get over it, or make our next outing a nightmare….worth it. 😆

First race of the season is in 2 days out in Wembley!
Still tinkering and buttoning up loose ends after ditching the factory style front suspension (‘79 Bronco) for a 3 link with Rough Country M1r struts made for a ‘22 Bronco (shout out to Joey at Action Car and Truck Accessories for getting them in a timely fashion for me). Big thanks to Max LaRochelle and the crew at Tripak Superlubricants for the l***s and penetrants to get it all apart and back together (every single nut and bolt still useable 😉)
Another big change for year was tearing the tired 360ci apart and freshening it up to a modest 408ci. Should do some kind of thing 🤷‍♂️

It’s a crazy busy year, but the family and I are excited to get to as many events as possible!

Can’t wait to see all the crews and families again!

We had some difficulties. Distributor, 3 spark plugs and a stuck primary float, put us back to where we couldn’t race for money, but Cody let us go for some fun on Sunday! All the sweat, beers and parts runs on a long weekend made for an incredible weekend at Bog fathers mud ranch the kids were sassy, the drinks were classy and the holes were badassy! Will definitely be back next year with a truck that shows up running 😆 Danielle Michelle didnt leave me when I wanted to set the truck on fire, so that was an added bonus 🥰😆

Remembering Joe Elmore

We are heartbroken to share that our long-time host and dear friend, Joe Elmore, has passed away after a brave battle with a long-term illness. Joe’s passion for cars and his infectious enthusiasm brought joy to millions of POWERNATION viewers.

From hosting "Horsepower TV" to "MuscleCar," Joe wasn't just a TV host; he was a mentor, a friend, and an amazing host.

Joe was more than just a face on the screen; he was a beloved member of the car community. Always eager to share his knowledge and connect with fellow car lovers, Joe’s spirit and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Our thoughts are with Joe’s family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know him. Joe, thank you for the memories, the lessons, and the passion. You will be dearly missed, but your legacy will live on.

Rest in peace, Joe.

Unfortunate circumstances cancelled day 2 of the Peace Country Offroad Racing Association Wembley Mud Bogs. Still, we had a great Day 1! The F***y took a bit of drink during the first pass and came out with 10.66sec, got er fired back up and made it in time for the second pass. She made her fastest pass yet at 7.13sec making it the 2nd fastest pass in her class for the day. All the potential is there, with a bit of fine tuning, she’ll be a sight to see! Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, we will see you at Bog Fathers Mud Ranch June 29/30!
