Thank You Parents
You’re warned it would go by fast, you never really believe it when you’re in frozen arenas, and a car that smells like a locker room.
Now we are looking at these amazing young women, standing so strong in their final junior jersey, and hearts are overflowing.
It’s a strange mix of emotions. We feel immense PRIDE for the player and person she’s become—the late nights, the long winter drives, the tough losses, the incredible wins, and the unwavering dedication
We feel a deep NOSTALGIA for all the memories. The countless car rides filled with singing and laughter, the post-game meals, and the lifelong friendships forged on the ice.
And yes, maybe a little SADNESS. You’ll miss the thrill of cheering her on from the stands, the familiar comfort of the hockey community, and watching her do what she loves most. Realizing it’s our loss, too. The loss of the joy we got from watching her journey.
But more than anything, we feel EXCITEMENT.
This isn’t an end, but a launch.
A stepping stone to her next adventure.
