Meal Prepping Doesn’t Have To Be Extra Work… It Just Has To Be Strategic.

If you’re doing it right, meal prep actually reduces stress, saves time, and keeps you on track when life gets chaotic.

Here are 5 of the most helpful strategies:

1️⃣ Prep Ingredients, Not Just Meals
You don’t need 14 identical containers of chicken, rice, and broccoli.
Cook your protein in bulk. Wash and chop veggies. Cook a carb source.
Now you can mix and match through the week without getting bored.

2️⃣ Pick 2–3 Go-To Proteins
Keep it simple.
Rotisserie chicken, lean ground beef, eggs, Greek yogurt, protein smoothies.
Consistency beats complexity every time.

3️⃣ Schedule It Like a Workout
If it’s not scheduled, it’s optional.
Block 60–90 minutes once or twice per week. Treat it like a non-negotiable appointment with your goals.

4️⃣ Make the “Busy Day” Backup Meal
Have 1 emergency option ready at all times.
A freezer meal. A pre-portioned protein shake bag.
Consistency isn’t about perfection! it’s about being prepared when motivation drops.

5️⃣ Don’t Chase Perfection, Chase Repeatability
If your prep plan is too complicated, you won’t repeat it.
Make it easy. Make it fast. Make it sustainable.
Meal prep isn’t about being extreme.

It offers you a choice.

Client Shoutout to Angie Marie Cummings! Today was a tough one.. I woke up feeling sick, low energy, and honestly, I was trying to talk myself out of my leg day workout in every way possible.. But Angela saw it.. and she called me out! She heard it in my voice, saw it in my eyes, and she reminded me: today IS the best day. If I didn’t do it today, tomorrow could be worse, and I wouldn’t get it done. And she was right! I needed discipline more than ever today because motivation was absolutely NOWHERE in sight. I leaned into that power, pushed through, and crushed the workout. Although I'm home crying about it in my bathroom.. I feel so proud of myself for overcoming and getting the job DONE! So, Angela, thank you for being that voice when I needed it most.

As many of you know, my schedule is absolutely packed right now!! I couldn’t be more grateful for that 🙏

Because of this, moving forward I will only be accepting new clients who have very flexible availability and can fit into the random gaps throughout my week!

The demand to work with me has grown to a point where every single hour of my day truly counts. To continue giving my current clients the highest level of coaching, accountability, and energy you deserve, I need to tighten up my policies.

Effective immediately: • My cancellation notice period is now 12 hours
• Any session cancelled with less than 12 hours’ notice will result in a cancellation fee of $30

This isn’t about being strict!!! it’s about respecting time, structure, and the commitment it takes on both sides to create real results 🙏🙏

I want to take a moment to say thank you. To every single client, past and present, and to everyone who supports CJ Fitness ❤️ none of this happens without you. This is literally a dream come true for me. I don’t take a single session, message, or ounce of trust lightly.

💥 320 LB DEADLIFT PR!!! 💥
Earlier this week, Breanne Long pulled a MASSIVE 320 lbs off the floor and I couldn’t be more proud!!

Breanne came to me 2 years ago wanting more out of her training. She felt stuck, unsure about her ex*****on, and knew she was capable of more strength than she was showing.

So we got to work.
And let me be clear, this journey hasn’t been “perfect.”
We’ve navigated changing life circumstances, summer jobs, mental health, stress… ALL the things most people use as excuses to skip the gym.

But Breanne doesn’t quit.

She rests when her body needs it.

We pivot programming when her body isn’t responding well to heavy strength work.

After hitting a 305 lb PR, she spent 8 months dialing things back.. lighter weights, higher volume, more rest days.
🚨 NOT stopping the gym.
🚨 NOT falling off nutrition.

Because of that, she retained her strength, muscle, and mindset.
In September, she reignited her love for strength training, and since then she’s been grinding, lifting her heart out, and earning her spot as one of the strongest women in the gym.

To say I’m proud is an understatement.
Clients like Breanne are EXACTLY why I do what I do 💪
