We wanted to provide everyone with an update on Swayde Dyami and Spencer following the accident they were involved in on August 14th.

At this time, Swayde thankfully appears to have no major physical injuries. Right now, he is taking things day by day, focusing on regaining his strength mentally and processing everything that has happened.

Spencer, NEW's rookie ring announcer, is currently recovering after surgery. Spencer has undergone multiple surgeries over the last little while and is now beginning his road to recovery. There is still a journey ahead of him, but we are thankful that he is continuing to recover.

NEW would like to send our sincere gratitude to our fan base and everyone in the Newfoundland wrestling community who has reached out, sent prayers, checked in, and shown support for both of our members.

Swayde and Spencer both greatly appreciate every single message that has been sent their way and every person who has taken the time to visit Spencer in the hospital. The amount of support shown to them during an incredibly difficult time has not gone unnoticed.

We ask that everyone continue to keep Swayde and Spencer in their thoughts as they both continue moving forward one day at a time.

Thank you for continuing to stand behind our NEW family.

We can’t risk the safety of our fans, but the shows are a go!

Unfortunately, we have some disappointing news regarding the NEW SummerCade Tour.

First and foremost, the NEW SummerCade Tour is still happening on August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Grand Falls-Windsor, Clarenville, and St. Lawrence. Every event will go ahead as scheduled.

However, due to circumstances beyond our control, all advertised Steel Cage Matches for the tour have been cancelled.

The NEW Steel Cage is specifically engineered to fit one of our wrestling rings. It was designed that way to ensure every Steel Cage Match is performed as safely as possible for our wrestlers while also maintaining the safest possible environment for our fans. Safety has always been, and always will be, our number one priority.

Unfortunately, the NEW ring that our Steel Cage is built for has suffered damage and is currently out of service. After exploring every possible option, we've determined that it cannot be repaired safely before the tour begins. The replacement parts required simply will not arrive in time.

To say we're disappointed would be an understatement. We were incredibly excited to make history by bringing the NEW Steel Cage to Grand Falls-Windsor, Clarenville, and St. Lawrence for the very first time. We know many of you were looking forward to witnessing it, and we share that disappointment.

That being said, if you know New Evolution Wrestling, then you know one thing is certain.

We never fail to deliver.

The Steel Cage is an incredible attraction, but it has never been what makes NEW special. It's the wrestlers, the rivalries, the stories, the atmosphere, and the passion that have made NEW one of Newfoundland's premier professional wrestling promotions.

Our roster is already hard at work making adjustments to ensure these three events are just as exciting, just as unpredictable, and just as memorable as originally planned. Expect updated match announcements in the coming days.

We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the Steel Cage, and we appreciate your understanding and continued support.

We're still coming to Grand Falls-Windsor, Clarenville, and St. Lawrence.

We're still bringing the best professional wrestling Newfoundland has to offer.

And we're still going to give you a show you'll never forget.
