The Almaguin Gazelles (Fawns) are excited to launch a refreshed and enhanced FUNdamental program for the 2026–27 season 🎉- designed to create a more engaging, supportive, and development-focused experience for our youngest athletes! 🌟 Our goal is simple: help every player grow their skills, build confidence, and fall in love with the game. 💚
This season, the ice will be divided into three dynamic development stations:
🔥Balance & Agility
🔥Skating Fundamentals
🔥Puck Skills & Control
As the year progresses, players will also enjoy small-area games, adding fun, creativity, and teamwork to each session.
We are introducing a new graduated jersey system to celebrate development and allow players to progress at their own pace:
🤍White – Beginner
💚Green – Intermediate
🖤Black – Advanced
Players may move between levels throughout the season as their skills and confidence grow. This creates a positive “little sister, big sister” progression—where athletes can look forward to advancing, feel proud of their development, and train alongside peers at a similar stage.🙌
This structure gives coaches more meaningful time with each player, ensures consistent guidance, and creates an environment where every child feels comfortable, supported, and excited to come to the rink.

We’re excited to announce the addition of a Secondary U13 Competitive Hockey Team for the upcoming season!

This team will provide another great opportunity for players to develop their skills, compete at a high level, build friendships, and continue growing their passion for the game.
