This behemoth pie measures 15x24" and can be topped however you like it! It's available this week only and we're giving one away today. To enter, make sure you're following Empty Spacesand then tag some friends in the comments who need to see this pizza or need to be at Empty Fest. Tickets available now! Get 'em!

Sponsor Appreciation post!
We have always loved , not only for their mean pies, but also for the amazing people behind Sarnia's best pizza factory 🍕🍕 The Giresi brother's have played a crucial part in the history of Empty Spaces. Their absolutely seminal band The Chocolate Robots played the very first show in April 2008 in a small workshop in the Lochiel Street courtyard, alongside Toronto's Ruby Coast, as well as a percussion/citar set by and Brock Dale.
The Robots would continue to play many Empty Spaces shows (including the very first Empty Fest the following year) and begin to make waves nationally. When they decided to put the band on hold to focus on the pizza business, I think it broke many a music fans hearts. But of course, everyone respected the dedication these hardworking gents had towards the family business and Giresi's remains the city's best pizzeria to this day.

To conclude, one of the most badass rock n roll moments in Sarnia history (to me anyways) was when the Robots rolled up in a fully decked out Uhaul (lasers, PA system, generator etc) to a random north-end party in the summer of 2011, performing Misirlou by Dick Dale (aka the Pulp Fiction theme song). They gave us a quick taste of their cube truck rock, before closing the hatch and rolling up to multiple other parties that night.
Imo, this is why the Giresi's are legends ❤️🍕🎸

Want to take a walk down memory lane? Look no further than the Empty Spaces Forever playlist.

This list of heavy hitting tunes was an exercise in memory retention. I spent an afternoon racking my brain in an attempt to remember (almost) every single act that has played an Empty Spaces event in the past (in chronological order, more or less). Omitted from this playlist are all the incredible acts that have yet to make the leap to the big Spotify, and there are many of them. With that said, I’m certain that I’ve left off at least a hundred acts, which I’ll try to add to the playlist over time (please let me know if you’re one of them). Despite this, I was amazed how many bands that I booked 15 years ago and who are no longer active are now up on the platform. Needless to say, it was pretty damn nostalgic hearing some of these songs again after so long.

One of the greatest joys of booking at the independent/underground level is discovering artists in their formative years who later blow up, and you’ll notice some pretty massive names as you scroll through the list. But as is the case in the underground music scene, a great number of these artists should have become much more successful than they did, but at least we got to experience them in the moment.

I hope you enjoy this collection of great tunes!

The stages of this year’s festival are going to receive a major visual boost thanks to the colorful and psychedelic live projections of the Oscillitarium. Over the past decade, the trio has worked hard to elevate the festival going experience with their unique blend of liquid light techniques and original footage. It’s an honor to bring them to Sarnia for the final Empty Fest ❤️❤️❤️ Come see their amazing visual creations for yourself when they light up the stages at Refined Fool Brewing Co. and Maud's Variety this weekend!
