Ever wanted to introduce your horse to cattle but weren't sure where to start?

This beginner friendly clinic is designed for green horses, green riders, and anyone looking to gain confidence around livestock in a calm, supportive environment.

We'll focus on the practical horsemanship skills used to quietly and effectively move cattle on a ranch while developing confidence, feel, and timing for both horse and rider.

Topics will include:

• Reading cattle body language
• Understanding pressure and release
• Proper positioning around cattle
• Tracking a cow at the walk
• Building confidence and responsiveness
• Developing practical ranch skills in a controlled setting

This is not a cutting or performance cow horse clinic.

We'll be focusing on practical ranch-style application. The quiet, controlled skills used to move cattle thoughtfully and effectively.

Maximum 5 Riders

$250 + GST per rider
Lesson horses available for an additional $50

No previous cow experience required

Looking for: Lesson horses on a care lease

Three of our lovely lesson horses have headed home to spend the summer months with their family's so we are looking for three more horses to lease for our lesson program.

This is the ideal situation for someone who doesn't have time to ride as much as they would like this summer!

Must be solid walk trot canter (or walk trot)
Must be safe and sane
Maintenance is fine!
Ridden 4-5 days per week (6-10hrs per week)
Fed a whole, clean feed program, adjustments every 4-6 weeks, back on track products used every other day for maximum comfort and soundness!

This mare is not handled due to the fact we purchased her unhandled while she was already heavily pregnant. She is estimated to be 4-5 years old but we have no way to confirm this. She is sound moving and has the potential to make a nice riding horse

Last weekend we held our first introduction to working cattle mini clinic. We had 3.5hr group instruction on the basics of moving a group of cattle, separating one from the herd and then individually driving each cow across the pen to a certain location. Everyone had a fantastic time and we are looking forward to the next one! This mini clinic was advertised in our monthly email and filled quickly from there. Full-Time Riding Coach (Spring 2027)

As our lesson program continues to grow, Spa Alp Equines is beginning the search for the right coach to join our team in Spring 2027.

We are not looking to fill a position immediately, but we know that the right person is often found well before they're available.

We are looking for an experienced coach who is passionate about teaching, enjoys helping riders reach their goals, and wants to be part of a growing equine business long-term.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

- EC Registered Coach or higher or willing to become
-Is comfortable teaching riders of all ages and levels
-Has strong horsemanship and horse handling skills
-Is organized, professional, and dependable
-Can confidently manage a full teaching schedule independently
-Enjoys being part of a team
-Is looking for a long-term coaching position within an established program

This is not an entry-level coaching role. We are looking for someone with the experience and confidence to take on an established student base and become an important part of our program.

The anticipated schedule will be Wednesday–Saturday or Wednesday–Sunday.

This is a full-time, year-round position.

Spa Alp Equines is a busy, year-round facility in Silver Creek, Salmon Arm,BC offering lessons, trail rides, camps, clinics, horse training, and horse sales. We are proud of the community we have built and are committed to providing a positive, professional experience for both our riders and our horses.

This opportunity would be well suited to a coach who loves teaching, enjoys developing riders, and wants to focus on coaching while being part of an established and growing equine business.
