Sometimes I wonder if I’m the only one who learned how to research… or use Google?
Let’s talk about it.
I sometimes receive messages from women who are upset that I haven’t included every possible thing you could ever do for lipedema in a 1,200-word social media post.
Apparently, I’m expected to squeeze an entire 90-page dissertation into a single caption.
And listen, I get it.
When you’re diagnosed with lipedema, you’re often overwhelmed, frustrated, scared, and desperate for answers. As a therapist, I understand how living in a constant state of fight or flight can make it difficult to know where to start.
You want someone to tell you exactly what to do. You want the answers. You want to feel better. And you want them yesterday.
But here’s something I really want you to understand:
INFORMATION IS EVERYWHERE. Learning how to use it to advocate for YOURSELF is where the real power lies.
If I share information about estrogen metabolism, and you recognize that it might be relevant to you, that’s an opportunity to start asking questions, researching the evidence, and speaking with a qualified healthcare professional about what might be appropriate for your body.
If I talk about compression, movement, nutrition, lymphatic health, or nervous system regulation, you can use that information as a starting point to explore what might support YOUR needs.
You don’t need to know everything today. You don’t need to try everything. And you certainly don’t need to buy every program, supplement, or protocol someone tells you is the missing piece.
Lipedema is an incredibly individual journey. What helps one woman may not be right for another.
I educate for free here to raise awareness and share what I’ve learned over years of research, and I help you ask better questions, to empower you to become an informed advocate for your own health.
And if you’re feeling overwhelmed by all the information out there, you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
THIS IS WHERE MY 1:1 LIPEDEMA support can come in if you want more.
I offer personalized support to help you navigate your lipedema journey, make sense of the information, identify realistic next steps, and build a lifestyle that works for YOUR body, circumstances, and goals.
Because while you absolutely can research and learn on your own, having a guide can help you find direction faster, cut through the overwhelm, and focus your energy where it matters most.
I’m not here to promise a magic cure or tell you I have every answer. I’m here to help you become more informed, empowered, and confident in navigating your own journey.
You are capable of learning about your body.
You are capable of asking better questions.
You are capable of advocating for yourself.
And you deserve support along the way.
If you’re ready for more personalized guidance, send me a message about my 1:1 lipedema coaching.
You don’t have to do it all alone.
Love, Laura
