🌧️ Stingers Weekend Update 🥎⚡
It was a wet and chilly one for our Stingers, but that didn’t stop the hard work, determination, and some incredible softball!

U11A After a delayed start at the U11 Softball NB Jamboree, the team got their games in!
They battled hard in an exciting matchup against the Twins Diamond, finishing 16–15. With home team advantage decided by a Thursday night coin toss, it made all the difference in a game that had everything—great hits, strong pitching, and solid defensive plays.
In another game update, the girls picked up their first win, 12–11! A standout moment saw Charlotte strike out 6 batters across two innings, including a clutch final inning where she shut things down and held the score at 11.

⭐ Game Highlight: U13AA vs Dartmouth SheDevils (7–5 Win)
One of the biggest moments of the weekend came in a statement game against the Dartmouth SheDevils, a team that has proven to be one of the strongest in the Maritimes. The last time these two teams met, the SheDevils took a decisive 13–3 win in the Moncton Classic championship—so this matchup was a true test of growth for our Stingers.
From the very first inning, St. Stephen came out firing. The girls jumped ahead early, putting up 3 runs in the top of the 1st inning with confident at-bats and aggressive, smart baserunning. Dartmouth answered with a run of their own in the bottom half, and from there it turned into a back-and-forth battle.
This game showcased the full package:
Bats were alive, with players making solid contact and finding gaps. Pitching was locked in, consistently challenging hitters and keeping pressure on. Defensively, the team made key plays when it mattered most. Baserunning was heads-up and disciplined, capitalizing on opportunities.
Through cold, rainy conditions, the energy in the dugout never dipped. Every inning felt like a grind, with both teams pushing hard.
Heading into the later innings, the Stingers held onto a narrow lead. The SheDevils threatened, but the defense stayed composed and executed under pressure. In the bottom of the 6th, with the game on the line, the Stingers shut the door—securing a huge 7–5 win.
The excitement from that final out said it all. This was more than just a win—it was a moment that showed how far this team has come.
Competing, adjusting, and finishing strong against one of the top teams in the region made enduring the rain and cold more than worth it.
💛🖤 A complete team effort and a game these girls won’t forget!
