Niagara region!! We’re super excited to be starting TWO beginner-friendly Salsa classes from Saturday Oct 17- Nov 7 in St Catharines! 🎉

Curious? Here are a few questions we often get:

💃 “What style of Salsa do you teach?”

At Avante, we teach Salsa On2, also known as New York style-the style we’re dancing in this video!

🎶 “Why’s the style called On2?”

It’s all about timing. In our basic step, we change direction on counts 2 and 6, connecting our steps with accents in the conga rhythm. We’ll have the congas in class so you can hear that rhythm as we dance!

New to counts and rhythms? That’s completely okay- we’ll guide you step by step. There’s a whole musical story and history behind those steps & rhythms, and we’re excited to share more in class!

✨ “Which class is for me?”

Salsa Beginners (Level 2)

Already comfortable with the basic Salsa steps and can usually stay on time dancing On2? Build on your basics and expand your dancing in this class!
