I want to take a moment and discuss what went ”right” in this situation.
The young ladies that were put into this scenario displayed situational awareness. They recognized there was something wrong with the vehicle and its occupants. They took steps to create distance from it and put themselves far away from the sliding door that was open. They also made lots of noise to attract attention. (Some people recommend yelling “fire” I honestly don’t know if that is better or not. Just attract attention)
These young ladies are lucky they were paying attention and reacted the way they did. Job well done!
To the bystander who called 911 thank you! Thank you for also being brave enough to get involved.
As a parent this situation worries me greatly and I try to make sure that I teach my daughter to be aware of things happening around her. That is the biggest way to deter people from trying to attack you.
