The Township of Scugog has cancelled permits for all Port Perry Softball Diamonds today, June 11. Coaches have been contacted.

Greenbank and Cartwright diamonds are still open.

Photo Day is coming up on June 9th at the Scugog Recreation Centre (meeting rooms by Pad 2—same spot as last year!).

All players should arrive in full uniform, with their glove! There will be an individual photo as well as a team group photo. 🥎📸

Here’s the schedule for team photos:
5:30PM - Learn to Play (all players)
5:45PM - Fire Away
6:00PM - Osteo Pathways
6:15PM - Crusty Pizza
6:30PM - Homestead
6:45PM - Monsma Electric
7:00PM - Vos' Independant Grocer

📌 Note: There is no Photo Day for the Seniors division

Umpires are people too! A great reminder from Cartwright Minor Ball that our umpires are learning too. Remember to be kind, always. Your kids are watching.

As our Cartwright Minor Ball season gets underway, we want to remind everyone that many of our umpires are youth who are still learning the game and building confidence. ⚾

Umpires are human. Mistakes will happen, just like they do from players, coaches, and fans. What matters most is creating a positive environment where kids can learn, grow, and enjoy the sport.

The following behaviour will not be tolerated:
• Yelling at or arguing with umpires
• Negative comments from the stands
• Harassment, intimidation, or disrespectful behaviour
• Unsportsmanlike conduct toward players, coaches, volunteers, or officials

Minor ball is meant to be FUN. Let’s work together to model good sportsmanship, encourage all participants, and make the ballpark a positive place for everyone involved.

While other divisions kick things off with a Meet & Greet, our Learn To Play players get their own special welcome on the first night of the season 💙

This first evening you'll meet your program lead, get your jerseys and meet you fellow teammates! It’s the perfect way to introduce your player to softball in a relaxed and supportive environment.

👨‍👩‍👧 Parent involvement is key! This program is volunteer-run, and we’ll be guiding you through simple drills so you can help your child learn the basics alongside us—no experience needed!

We can’t wait to welcome our newest players to the field! 🥎✨

This event is for players in Junior Mites, Mites & Intermediate divisions.
