"Theater Recipes" is a hybrid between a scenic intervention and a work demonstration of physical theater, clown and storytelling, exploring the creation of a character from the senses of touch, smell and taste, and seeks to create a bond with the audience through them. The performance comes in the format of a culinary tasting-demonstration, where a hostess-performer shares w

ith the participants 3 different recipes to create the same "micro scene"

The audience participates by tasting, smelling and manipulating the ingredients and actively interacting with the creative process. Runtime: 30-40 min. Stage area: 2,50m x 2m (approx). It is a short piece that suits different spaces, and can be performed as a prelude or halftime show, at a fair, class or festival, or as an independent artistic expression. Beatriz Afonso- Trajectory
Bachelor in Arts with honours in Drama by the ESAD-University of Kent (Madrid- Spain 2007). Has focused her training in physical theater, participating in several workshops in Europe and Latin America including: Clown (Alain Vigneau- FR), Anthropology of the movement and Comedia dell Arte (Claudia Contin- IT), Neutral mask (Jeremy James CA-AU) , Performance-Installation (Jill Greenwald- WLS), Schinca technic of body expresion (Laura Arcos- ES), Corporal mimesis and dynamics with objects (LUME- BR), Suzuki (Maria Porter -USA). Has experience as a performer and stage director in different projects in Spain, Latin America and Australia

“Recetas de teatro” es un híbrido entre intervención escénica y demostración de trabajo que explora la creación de un personaje a partir del tacto, olfato y gusto, y busca generar a través de ellos un vínculo con el público. El espectador participa degustando, olfateando y manipulando los ingredientes, relacionándose así de forma activa con el proceso creativo. La intervención viene en formato de demostración-degustación culinaria, donde una presentadora-intérprete comparte con los espectadores 3 recetas diferentes para elaborar una misma “micro escena”

Duración: 30-40 min

Espacio escénico: aproximadamente 2,50m x 2m. La pieza puede presentarse como: preludio o entretiempo de un espectáculo, muestra en una feria, clase, festival, sala o intervención de calle. Beatriz Afonso- Trayectoria
Graduada en Arte Dramático en Madrid- España (año 2007) Especialidad Dirección de escena por la ESADT-Universidad de Kent. Ha complementado su formación con talleres enfocados a la expresión gestual en Europa y Latinoamérica entre ellos: Clown (Alain Vigneau- FR), Antropología del movimiento y Comedia dell Arte (Claudia Contín- IT), Mascara Neutra (Jeremy James- CA-AU), Intervención-performance (Jill Greenhald- WLS), Técnica Schinca de expresión corporal (Laura de Arcos- ES), Mímesis corpórea y dinámica con objetos (LUME- BR), Suzuki (Maria Porter- USA). Tiene experiencia como intérprete y directora en diferentes proyectos en España, Latinoamérica y Australia.

Gracias a un experimento extraordinario con una serie de preguntas que puedes hacer en casi cualquier lugar del mundo y recibir la misma respuesta, se puede intuir cuán maravillosa es nuestra poco comprendida percepción polisensorial.
