Battle of the Blades Fundraiser Two worlds collide. A hockey player and figure skater come together to perform a skating routine to No joke! Have you heard of it? Our last event was sold out!

Not your average day at the rink..The Saugeen Shores Skating Club is excited to host another "Battle of the Blades" April 20th at the Plex. It's a classic match up of hockey player and figure skater who come together to perform a skating routine to music and compete against other teams! Our community had never hosted an event like this... but it was about time we did. What a blast! This year the Saugeen Shores Skating Club will donate half of the proceeds to the Caitlyn Crusaders Community Crusaders! Caitlyn Cobean's Community Crusaders in affiliation with the Tara Boom Houston Children's Foundation are dedicated to raising funds to help improve the lives for families whose children who have been diagnosed with life threatening illnesses. Well that was fun! Thank you to everyone who participated in the kick-off practice last night at the Plex for this season’s Battle of the Blades taking place April 20th.
Teams met their partners and got their first lesson in pairs skating. Here the hockey players are trying a spiral.
