🐌🏅 TRIFECTA COMPLETE!

Coaches Robert and Rachel, along with Robin, finished the Blue Mountain Spartan Trifecta today!

Beast ✅ Super ✅ Sprint ✅

Everyone is tired, a little bruised, and very happy to have completed this weekend together. Race times will follow later.

Robert and Rachel couldn’t be more impressed with Robin. Her first endurance event—and she took on an entire Trifecta weekend and nailed it! 💪

Having your dad and little sister as coaches apparently comes with benefits… although neither could arrange fewer obstacles. 😂

As the season slows down, it’s easy to forget how much you’ve accomplished. Look at everything you pushed through this year—cold swims, long rides, early mornings, tough intervals. Each challenge strengthened your resolve. You didn’t just build fitness—you built resilience. Carry that forward.

🐌🏔️ SPARTAN DAY 2!

After yesterday’s Beast, Coaches Robert and Rachel, along with Robin, are moving a little slower this morning—but the spirits are still high!

Today: the 10K Super, then the 5K Sprint. First, one important equipment check: “Have you cut your toenails?” 😂🦶

A little family humour goes a long way when the legs are questioning the weekend’s decisions.

Good luck to all the CrossFit Pickering athletes arriving today! Hopefully we’ll see you out on course. 💪

🐌🏔️ BEAST COMPLETE! Day 1 of Blue Mountain Trifecta Weekend is in the books!

Coaches Robert and Rachel, along with Robin, completed today’s Spartan 21K Beast in an unofficial 5:15:00. Official time to follow!

Some big obstacle wins:
🪢 Rachel conquered the rope climb!
💪 Both coaches bested Olympus Wall and Stairway to Sparta!

Everyone’s in high spirits. Next up: food, an afternoon nap and a big dinner before tomorrow’s 10K Super and 5K Sprint. 🍽️😴

Going out way too hard at the start of a race feels exciting right up until the bill shows up later. A fast first few minutes can turn into a very long day if the pacing plan was just adrenaline and poor judgment. Race strategy matters. The goal is not to win the opening stretch and then survive the rest. The goal is to pace smart, stay controlled, and finish strong.

Coaches Robert and Rachel are nearly ready for Spartan Trifecta Weekend. There’s just one final question: does this enormous 7-Eleven Slurpee cup count as a hydration pack? 🥤😂

The cup is a joke. The excitement is real.

Beast tomorrow. Super and Sprint Sunday. Let the family race weekend begin!
