Does anyone in Durham Region launch you Seadoo in Lake Ontario at the Port of Whitby launch ramp? I would like some company on the water on future rides.

Safety on the Water….. Seadoo ejects 3 passengers!
Yesterday- Sunday Aug 6th I (Admin Martin) launched my Seadoo at the Port of Whitby boat launch.I proceeded out across the bay and started through the channel toward Lake Ontario. Two Seadoo’s with apparently inexperienced operators passed me exceeding the posted 10km/h speed. I found that Lake Ontario was really choppy with large swells. As short time later at about 1 pm, I came upon a 300 hp yellow Seadoo with no one on board. I found 3 people in the water beside the Seadoo. I instructed them how to re mount the Seadoo from the rear and found no one was injured. I carried on my way jumping a few waves.
About 10 minutes later, I found the same Seadoo overturned upside down and three passengers in the water. They were able to upright and restart the Seadoo. No one was injured. I advised them to head for shore as they were in danger being inexperienced for the current water conditions with three passengers.
Later on at the launch ramp….I got a thank you from the family involved. Posted by admin Martin Dand
