🥎💚 FALL BALL 2026 – WHAT A RIDE! 💚🥎

Well, another cold, crazy, and unforgettable weekend of softball in the books! 🥶🥎

We finished the round robin with 2 wins and 1 loss, and a +13 run differential, putting us in 1st place in the B Division heading into the semifinals! 💪🔥

The semis against the Misfits were an absolute battle! We fought hard, pushed it into extra innings, but unfortunately couldn’t pull off the win. Huge congratulations to the Misfits on a well-played game! 👏

Throughout the weekend, we had some great plays, solid at-bats, fantastic running, and a whole lot of determination! Every single game, we found ourselves having to battle back from behind. Sometimes we pulled off the comeback, sometimes we didn’t, but one thing was certain — this team NEVER gave up! 💚

And can we talk about the WEATHER?! 🥶 I’m pretty sure we lost feeling in a few fingers and toes, but somehow we still managed to swing bats, catch balls, and run bases! 😂

🏆 Special tournament achievement: Doug made it through an ENTIRE tournament without tripping, falling, or injuring himself! That’s right, folks — his FIRST injury-free tournament! Someone get that man a trophy! 🏆🤣

We still have one more game on Tuesday, so we’re not quite hanging up the cleats just yet!

To each and every one of you, THANK YOU for a wonderful Fall Ball 2026 season! 💚 Through the wins, losses, laughs, questionable swings, amazing plays, and freezing temperatures, it’s been an absolute blast sharing the field with you all.

I’m so proud of how hard everyone played, how we supported each other, and how we kept fighting right until the final out.

One more game, one more chance to make some memories!

💚🥎 LET’S GO, SCARED HITLESS! 🥎💚

🥎💚 SPRINGFIELD SALLIES: DITS 2026 — WE SURVIVED. BARELY. 💚🥎

Where do we even begin with this absolute circus? 😂

Playoff Game #1:
We decided being down 10–0 would be a fun way to start. Because apparently playing normal softball is boring. 🤷‍♀️

Then someone must’ve reminded us that we actually came to Niagara Falls to PLAY BALL, because the Sallies went completely feral and somehow clawed our way back to win 13–12! 😳🔥

Yes.
DOWN 10–0. WON 13–12.
We still don’t fully understand what happened. 😂

Playoff Game #2:
Apparently one heart attack wasn’t enough.

This game stayed tight the whole way, because why would we make anything easy on ourselves?! Somehow we pulled out another 15–12 WIN and suddenly…

🚨 THE SPRINGFIELD SALLIES WERE GOING TO THE SEMIS! 🚨

At this point we were running on adrenaline, questionable life choices, sore bodies and whatever snacks we could find.

Then we met the 1st place team.

They were very good.

Like… rude. 😂

Our magical little playoff adventure ended with a 21–8 loss, but WE MADE THE DAMN SEMIFINALS, so we’re calling that a win. 🙌

And honestly, the other teams weren’t even our biggest competition this weekend.

THE WASPS WERE. 🐝🐝🐝

There were approximately 47 billion of them.

We had wasp stings, wasp dodging, wasp-induced panic and probably some new lifelong trust issues with anything that buzzes.

Somewhere between fighting for our lives against nature, we also managed:

🥎 Great hits
🙌 Awesome catches
🏃‍♀️ Hard and FAST running
🤦‍♀️ Bad swings
😂 Missed plays
🐝 Unscheduled wasp attacks
📣 A ridiculous amount of cheering
💚 And a whole lot of laughs

But the absolute best part was supporting each other, cheering each other on and getting to meet and play with such an amazing group of ladies.

We came from the Valley, the GTA and everywhere in between, threw ourselves together as the Springfield Sallies, and somehow made a pretty damn good run at it.

So, Niagara Falls…

Enjoy the peace and quiet while you can.

Because DITS 2027 — THE SPRINGFIELD SALLIES ARE COMING BACK. 👀💚

And next year?

WE’RE LOOKING TO MOVE UP. 😈🥎🔥

Hopefully the wasps move down. 🐝🖕😂

SALLIES OUT. 🎤

With 2 wins and 1 loss today the Springfield Sallies placed 8th in the top 12 🥎🎉

🥎💚 SCARED HITLESS LADIES ARE HEADING TO NIAGARA! 💚🥎

Tomorrow, some of our Scared Hitless ladies are hitting the balls for Dirt in the Skirt in Niagara Falls! 🙌

We’ve gathered ladies from Scared Hitless, Petawawa, and the GTA and somehow decided putting us all together for an entire weekend was a good idea. 😂

Different teams. Different towns. One goal: play some ball, have a ridiculous amount of fun, and hopefully still be able to walk by Sunday afternoon. 🤣🥎

For most of us, this is our first Dirt in the Skirt experience, so we really have no idea what we’re getting ourselves into… which honestly makes it even better. 😂

Here’s to big hits, questionable decisions on the bases, loud dugouts, new friendships, lots of laughs, and memories we’ll probably be talking about for a LONG time.

Niagara Falls… you’ve been warned. 😏🔥

🥎 SCARED HITLESS UPDATE! 🥎

Another week of ball in the books!

💚 LADIES 💚
This past week officially wrapped up our round robin with 1 win and 1 loss. Now it’s time for playoffs! 🙌

🔥 Playoffs start Wednesday, October 7 against the Backroad Ballers! Time to bring the bats, the gloves, and hopefully fewer questionable decisions. 😂🥎

🖤 COED 🖤
The coed crew pulled off another WIN this week! It was a great back-and-forth game that kept us on our toes, but we managed to come out ahead by ONE RUN! 😅👏

We’ve got 2 coed games left before playoff weekend, so there’s still lots of ball—and probably a little chaos—left to go!

Let’s keep it rolling, Scared Hitless! 💚🖤🥎
Hit hard. Have fun. Try not to pull anything. 😂

09/26/2026

Well… we didn’t exactly come home with a winning record today 😂🥎

We went 1–3 at the SPFA tournament, but honestly, the scoreboard doesn’t tell the whole story!

There were some great hits, awesome plays, plenty of laughs, a few “what the heck just happened?” moments 🤣… and because apparently four games weren’t exciting enough, we even threw an injury into the mix. 🤦‍♀️😂 Hopefully that’s one tournament souvenir we don’t make a habit of collecting!

We may have lost 3 out of 4, but we definitely won in the fun department. We played hard, had a blast, and made the most of the day — because really, that’s what rec ball is all about. 💚🖤

Thanks to everyone who came out, played hard, laughed harder, and made another tournament one to remember.

Scared Hitless — occasionally hitless, slightly injured, always entertaining. 😂🥎💚

Last Coed tournament of the season!
