Exciting News!!

🏏 Bradley-Craig Park – approval for this project is expected very soon. A planner has been assigned so that work can begin quickly once that happens. This will include the design, tendering and construction of the project.
🏏 Fernbank District Park – City staff are currently looking at options for the layout of the park to make sure there is space for a cricket pitch among the other sports fields that will be created.

Cricket is one of the fastest growing sports in Ottawa and I have been hearing from players and event organizers in Stittsville about the need for more places to play. Recently I joined the Mayor and members of Ottawa's cricket community for an announcement.

The City is moving forward with new cricket pitches across the city and expanding access to recreational play. Over the next few years, the City will create five new cricket pitches in the west, south, and east of the city to serve this growing demand, including two right here in Stittsville.

Cricket is growing and there is definitely a need for more spaces to play this great sport. Special thanks to the Stittsville Cricket Club for their advocacy and help in moving these projects forward.

Thank you Mayor Mark Sutcliffe!
