It’s funny how those two words can feel so small for how I truly feel, but here we go… Thank you. Thank you Lord for your grace, strength, and blessing. Thank you to my wife Timeyin for being by ride or die, and walking with me through this journey. Thank you to Soul and Nadege from Studio X Ottawa, for not just lending me your space but being there to help me in it. Thank you Jelissa, for the amazing class and for always being ready to bring your talent to URBN Dance School, and thank you Steph for assisting her. Thank you to my volunteers, Vero and Nadia. You did the registration with grace and precision. Thank you Sandra for gifting a DDK pass. Thank you to the taxi dancers; George, Greg, Bruno, Caalvin, and Steph. You already know, but your presence added something special to the event. Thank you to all the guest that came, I am honored by your support. But the biggest thank you, is to all of you that came. URBN Dance School was started because of this crazy idea that maybe we can do something different with urban kiz; with the sound and the range of music. Something that sounds like our generation; that takes us back to our first night at the club, our high school crush, but also connects us to the roots… something that brings us joy, together, as a community. That’s what I want people to feel through URBN VIBES, and anything that URBN organizes. So thank you all for believing in that with me, with us. Don’t worry… as a wise young lady (Jelissa) once said: I’m always cooking lol… but thanking you all was a priority. So, one more time… THANK YOU.

"The space between the steps"... that is what we wanted to communicate to the attendees of the class. Steps don't have to be complex all the times, it's how you much between each of them, the layers, the playfulness, the pauses... all that creates an unforgettable experience that goes beyond the technique. Thank you to Studio X Ottawa for having us at the Afrolatin Fix. It's always a pleasure teaching there. Thank you Sarah for being the co-instructor with me for the evening, and most of all, thank you to all these beautiful people for coming to the class. Next stop, URBN VIBES 😁
