2x Masters Wellness Champion. đŸ„‡đŸ„‡

This past weekend, Nat stepped on stage at the Popeyes Classic Natural and brought home 1st Place in the 35+ Masters and 40+ Masters.

And just for a little perspective


Nat is 45 years old.

Let that sink in for a second.

Now, as proud as I am of these wins, we aren’t done yet.

We’re sitting about 12 days out from the Natural Canada Pro Qualifier, so there’ll be plenty of time to celebrate later. Rn, we keep our foot on the gas.

 I couldn’t be prouder of you.

Not because of the wins, but because of the athlete you’ve become throughout this prep.

You never once looked for shortcuts.

You never made excuses nor did you settle.

Life got busy. Things got hard. There were moments where it would’ve been easy to back off, but you didn’t. You adapted, stayed locked in, trusted me, trusted the process, and kept showing up.

That’s why you’re standing where you are today.

I also want to say something that I think more people need to hear.

People think great coaching is about having the perfect diet, the perfect training program, or the coach who’s got the “secret” or “magic potion”.

It’s not.

Great coaching starts with a relationship.

It starts with trust.

Because coaching isn’t a dictatorship.

It’s a partnership.

My job isn’t to control your life or make prep harder than it needs to be.

My job is to understand who you are, what your life looks like, where your strengths lie, where you’re holding yourself back, and then build a plan that allows you to become the best version of yourself.

No two athletes are the same.

No two lives are the same.

The best coaches don’t force athletes into their system.

They build a system around the athlete.

From the day Nat and I started working together, that relationship was effortless. Communication was easy. Trust was there. She executed, I adjusted, and together we kept raising the standard.

That’s how physiques are built.

That’s how champions are built.

Nat, this is only the beginning.

I’m grateful to be in your coach, and I can’t wait to see what we bring to the stage in 12 days.

Push. Push. Swipe ⏩

Flat-out sets to failure.

There’s so much s**t being argued about training these days.

Science-based. Evidence-based. RIRs. PRs. CNS fatigue. Volume. Frequency. Whether your left eyebrow was activated during your last set


Meanwhile, half the people arguing still aren’t training hard enough.

Go to the gym. Push. Feel the weight. Fail. Repeat.

Start by learning how to actually train. Get strong as hell. Figure out what true failure feels like before worrying about squeezing another 0.5% optimization out of your program.

Training, just like progress, isn’t linear. It’s definitely not black and white.

Pick a lane. Give it an honest shot. Figure out what works for you.

Just remember, what works today might not be what works three years from now. And I hope to God you’re not the same bodybuilder, athlete, or lifter you were back then.

Full circle. Back where I belong. đŸ€

You have to earn it daily.

Everyone wants to look disciplined.

Very few are willing to actually be disciplined.

There’s a difference.

The build you want is a byproduct.
The confidence you want is a byproduct.
The strength & resilience you want is a byproduct.

Of who you are daily.

Not who you are when you’re motivated.
Not who you are when it’s convenient.

Who you are when:

– You’re tired
– You’re busy
– No one is watching

That’s the standard.

Stop chasing outcomes.
Start building identity.

Because once you become the type of person who doesn’t miss, results aren’t something you hope for.

They’re inevitable.

You’re not stuck.
You’re negotiating.

Most people don’t fail because they’re incapable.

They fail because they negotiate with themselves daily.

“I’ll start Monday.”
“I’ll skip today, I’m tired.”
“I’ll tighten up next week.”
“One won’t hurt.”

That’s how standards erode.

It’s not one big decision.
It’s 20 small ones.

You don’t need more motivation.
You need non-negotiables.

When you remove the option to debate with yourself, everything changes.

Training becomes automatic.
Cardio gets done.
Meals get hit.
Progress compounds.

Discipline isn’t intense.
It’s consistent.

And consistency only happens when the standard is set in stone.

Stop negotiating.
Start executing.

Stop glorifying “just showing up.”

It was never about that.

Not once have I ever just shown up.

If it were that simple, being strong, lean, and fit would be a given for everyone.

But it’s not.

Because this demands what most people aren’t willing to give:

Effort.
Discipline.
Patience.
Relentless standards.

Is it intense?

Yes. It has to be.

I set my own standards. I know what I’m capable of. And I refuse to operate below that.

So no, don’t just show up!

Get after it.
Redefine how you show up.
Raise your standards.
Expect more from yourself.

What actually works (and always has):

If your goal is to build muscle, lose body fat, and stay in shape long-term, the fundamentals haven’t changed.

‱ Progressive overload
‱ Adequate protein intake
‱ Calculated caloric surplus or deficit
‱ Quality sleep, recovery and stress management
‱ Training hard consistently (even when motivation is low)

No hacks.
No trends.
No shortcuts.

Simple doesn’t mean easy.
It means repeatable. Sustainable. Proven.

Most people don’t struggle because they lack information.
They struggle because they don’t apply the basics long enough to let them work.

Do the work.
Be consistent.
Give it time and respect the grind.
