Cardio = getting your heart rate up long enough for an adaptation

Conditioning = training your body and mind to handle real demands, like staying sharp in the 4th quarter when you’re exhausted

If you want to perform better in sport or just feel better day-to-day, don’t only “do cardio”… build conditioning. 💪

Prenatal strength training can be safe, structured, and still challenging🤰

Today Franco coached Annie (2nd trimester) through a session built around:

• mobility + warm-up (upper back + hips)
glute activation to support the low back
• lower + upper body strength (so everyday life + baby-carrying feels easier)
• pelvic floor-friendly breathing + cooldown for recovery

Sweating more doesn’t mean you’re losing more fat 😅

Sweat is mostly genetics + temperature/climate. It can show effort, but it’s not a fat-loss scoreboard.

Real fat loss = consistency, calorie deficit, strength training, steps, sleep.

Save this for your next “sweat = progress?” moment. 💧

Not all “knowledgeable” trainers are effective… and not all effective trainers are “science-y.” 👀

The best coach is the one that’s right for YOU! whether you need someone who gets you in the gym consistently, or someone who can dial in the details.
A solid mix of both goes a long way.

The day after, don’t change anything.

Training Philosophy

I train people to get the body they want. This leads to feeling good and becoming stronger than ever before.

I spent 5 years at the University of Waterloo studying human physiology, movement and nutrition. My goal was to understand muscle building and fat loss processes to help my clients reach their ultimate fitness goals. I also continue my education within the field by training with top natural bodybuilding coaches and strength and conditioning coaches to create optimal and specific-to-you training plans. I have been coaching clients full-time since 2015.

My two conditions are 1. you are committed 2. you are cool
