There’s a question that doesn’t get asked very often after loss.
Not “How are you doing?”
Not “Are you moving forward?”
But something quieter.
Where are you right now?
Not the polite answer.
Not the strong answer.
Not the “I’m fine” answer.
Just — where are you?
