Heat 3rd-4th 8cars
Had a good race. Fell back a couple spots but got back up one spot at the finish line by .006 secs! Good on tech for checking his transponder distance to ensure he didn’t get it by cheating. Transponder was mounted in the correct spot.

Feature 11th-16 25cars
Was a fun run with some good battles for position with super consistent lap times. Getting better every lap.

It’s been a great week of racing,

Aug12, Thunder City Speedway

Heat 1st-8th(DNF)
As I’m sure most are aware that there was an unfortunate sequence of events which left Spencer on his lid. Big thanks to the track crew, EMS and Trevor Lane for getting him out of the car so quickly.
Spencer was perfectly fine as it was not a violent roll. The car just needed its body banged back out, front bumper rebuilt and all the drained oils replaced. Huge thanks to Scott Gregory and his crew at Alloy Technical Welding for opening up his shop to us and helping us out even though they had their own damage to deal with. The race rained out afterwards.

Awesome run. Spencer led the whole race until the second last lap he was shook loose from his line and three cars got around him. Super impressive considering the caliber of drivers he had on his heels.

Awesome driving through all the carnage. Spencer really put the brakes to the test several times. His actual finish was 9th due to the timing system being down. Which would have tied him for “Hard Charger”
Moving up 11 spots. No complaints here. We’ve had to count cars before and know how hard it is. Big props to all the volunteers at Emo for doing what they do.
