The last few days have been very busy for some of our members as we have been attending the public school graduations within East Gwillimbury and doing presentations to a number of students who will be moving on to High School in the fall. We have been doing this for a number of years and the students are pleased with the recognition. The award is not always for the same reason . I presented 2 graduates tonight with a Valedictorian award, last Friday it was for Citizenship another tonight in Park Ave was for History my last presentation will be on Thursday. Thank you to the various Veterans & members who helped with the presentations.Wonderful recognition for our branch and for the students who were chosen by the teachers for these awards. Looking forward to next year's events .

Sean Sedore and I attended the District E Spring Convention - April 6-8th and came home with 3 awards . The most exciting was the Poppy Chair of the Year plaque awarded to Comrade Barry Hall Poppy Chair for our branch . Congratulations Barry . The Legion was also presented with a huge trophy . We were also chosen for the Best Attendance at Conventions Award .It is surprising what you can learn by attending these conventions and see the amount of funds that are donated by the many branches in our District from the poppy funds to help our Veterans, our youth, and our Seniors. It is also an opportunity to learn about the amount of money donated and the work done by the Ladies Auxiliary. Congratulations to Aurora Branch on a well organized convention.
