My trip of a lifetime continues. After one last day in Amsterdam which included the Anne Frank museum and a walk through Amsterdam’s world famous red light district on the way back to the houseboat hotel(an actual room on a boat docked in the harbour). Certainly eye opening experiences for vastly different reasons. Then it was on to Bruges Belgium for a couple of days. A medieval city that used to be a major trading port in NorthEast Europe. One of the things I have noticed where we are. Is the amount of people who ride bikes are amazing. The infrastructure is there to encourage it as well, separate bike lanes and traffic lights etc. They ride so much they even have parkades for bikes(see pic). So Bryce and I decided to join the crowd and rented a pair of bikes as our mode of transportation. Now we are in Leuven Belgium(a city of around 100 thousand approximately 30 minutes outside of Brussels) as this is where Bryce’s conference is. After a hotel room workout last night consisting of wrist mobility, static wall handstand holds and 21-15-9 reps of Pike Push Ups and Tricep Extensions with 20 Airs Squats each round. It was time to continue the CrossFit part of my journey. Thus today I was able to attend a WOD at CrossFit Super 7. 1 of 2 of the local Boxes in the city. Once again a great workout with great people. I was kinda nervous at 1st to attend a different box. But each time I have been welcomed and the encouragement during the WOD and high fives when done to celebrate a good hard workout are the same no matter where you are or what language you happen to speak.
