Retractable Carry Strap for Wheelchairs. Never Drop Anything Again.

10/27/2026

Is LapStacker worth it? Here are 9 reasons we think so.

It’s hands-free, so your coffee, shopping and parcels stay put on your lap without any juggling. It’s made specifically for wheelchairs, and every part of the design is thought through around how things actually get carried on a chair. The straps keep everything secure, so nothing slides off mid-roll, and it saves you time and energy: one trip instead of three. It’s backed by real users who helped shape it, it’s simple to set up and use, and it’s travel-ready for the office, the airport or a day out.

When you get yours, you’re part of the LapStacker community. Tag us in your setup; we love seeing where it ends up 🙌

We’ve had a few questions about LapStacker lately, and one that keeps coming up is:
💬 “Can it be used one-handed?”

While it wasn’t originally designed for one-handed use, with a bit of creative thinking, Mike shows how it’s totally possible, as long as the hand you’re using has good function. 👇

How to use LapStacker one-handed:
1️⃣ Pull: Use the soft-touch finger loop to draw the strap across your lap.
2️⃣ Connect: The magnetic, self-aligning buckles snap together when close.
3️⃣ Tighten: Pull the free end to secure your gear.
4️⃣ Release: Unclip with the same hand, keeping items low and centered helps with taller stacks.

LapStacker fits both manual and power wheelchairs. Check out our fitting guide on our website for more details.

My business partner Tim Cox recently turned 40, and it made me realise something: we met 10 years ago! 🎉

A decade of building a partnership, testing ideas and not giving up, all to find a product that genuinely makes a difference. That product is LapStacker, and I use it every single day.

I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way. It’s been a long journey, and I couldn’t be happier that Tim and I teamed up to make it happen.

Reel description.
A montage of wheelchair users demonstrating LapStacker in daily life: carrying a laundry basket, folding a manual chair, clipping straps onto a folding-frame power chair, wheeling a box of groceries through a kitchen, rolling down a sidewalk with a bag secured on the lap, unloading groceries at a checkout, packing a bag at an airport, and unboxing a LapStacker unit. On-screen text lists each benefit (independence, fits your chair, secure design, saves energy, trusted by real users, built to last, travel-ready). The reel closes with a child in a wheelchair adjusting a doll, on-screen text reading “because thriving isn’t ___”, then the LapStacker logo on a black screen with the tagline “Zip. Clip. Go.

“Stoked to be useful”

Is how Mike feels when using his LapStacker. Helping carry heavy household groceries from the car. Carrying this amount of stuff in a wheelchair would be practically impossible without LapStacker.

LapStacker extends over your items, and clips together using magnets. Sucuring them so you are left hands free to push your wheelchair.

How does LapStacker make you feel?

Video description.

Mikes wife stands beside an open car boot in a parking area and hands items to Mike seated in a wheelchair. He tries to balance several heavy things, boxes and a large bag awkwardly on his lap. On-screen text reads, “Balancing all this on your lap? Watch this.”

Now with everything balanced, he begins to move forward in his whVideoeelchair with ease. Pulls on LapStacker Text appears: “LapStacker holds even heavy items securely on your lap” and then “Leaving you hands free to push your wheelchair.”
The scene shifts to Mike smiling at the camera outdoors, looking pleased and confident. A final screen shows the product name “LapStacker” and a prompt to shop online.
