Bird of Paradise 🦜

The Bird of Paradise pose is not just stunning; it symbolizes freedom and grace 🌈

Benefits:

Improves Balance
Strengthens stability and coordination as you engage your core.

Enhances Flexibility
Opens up the hips, hamstrings, and shoulders for greater mobility.

Boosts Focus
Encourages mindfulness and concentration as you find your center.

Strengthens Legs
Tones and strengthens the legs while promoting endurance.

How to Practice:

1. Begin in Uttanasana (Standing Forward Fold and bend your knees slightly.

2. Reach down and grab your right big toe with your right hand, keeping your left arm hanging.

3. Shift your weight onto your right leg and slowly step your left foot back, keeping your right leg straight.

4. Bend your right knee and bring your left leg up, wrapping your left foot around your right arm (if possible).

5. Straighten your right leg as you extend your left leg out to the side, balancing on your right leg.

6. Lift your chest and gaze forward, finding your balance and breathing deeply.

7. Stay for a few breaths, then slowly return to the starting position and repeat on the other side.

Pose of the Week: Half Monkey Pose ✨
Half Monkey teaches us that the journey toward our goals is just as important as the destination itself. Bow forward with a humble heart and a long spine in this preparation for splits. To practice Half Monkey, start from a low lunge and shift your hips back over your back knee. Straighten your front leg, flex your toes toward your face, and hinge to fold gently over the front thigh.

Wheel Pose is the ultimate heart-opener, radiating strength and light from your core outward to the world. Ignite your inner fire and lift into a full expression of joy. To practice Wheel Pose, lie on your back with feet flat and hands by your ears. Press into your hands and feet to lift your body into a full upward arch, lengthening through the arms. Keeping knees stacked over ankles and shoulders stacked over wrists.
