Dieting is a continuum, and should be treated that way whenever possible.

Think of yourself at one end; the goal is to finish at the opposite end as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Anyone that reaches the end is technically ‘effective’. The real goal is to be efficient, doing it properly, with minimal struggle or damage.

This happens when you make the continuum longer, then the aggressiveness of the approach is decreased.

Whenever you must be aggressive in your approach, you’re forced to compensate for said aggressiveness.

Perhaps in the process of dieting quickly you lose fullness.

Or in an attempt to regain fullness at the end you lose condition.

The slower you go, the better it is.
