In Loving Memory of Andrew Keeley

It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of Andrew Keeley. His family has asked me to let our pool community know.

Andrew was a passionate and highly competitive pool player who truly loved the game. He enjoyed the competition, the camaraderie, and everything that came with being part of our pool community.

What many people may not realize is just how much Andrew contributed to Gas City Pool League behind the scenes. As a talented computer programmer, Andrew was the person responsible for creating both our stat program and our website.

On a personal note, I cannot begin to count the number of times I approached Andrew with another one of my hair-brained ideas or requests to change something in the program. He always found a way to help me make it happen, and I am incredibly grateful for his patience, generosity, and willingness to share his talents.

Andrew also had that wonderfully dry British sense of humour. There were plenty of times I genuinely couldn't tell whether he was joking or being completely serious — and I suspect that was exactly how he liked it!

Andrew began experiencing health challenges in January and, sadly, never fully recovered. He will be sorely missed, both as a fellow pool player and as someone who gave so much of his time and talent to our league.

I will always be grateful for everything Andrew did to help me improve and modernize Gas City Pool League. His contributions will continue to benefit our players for years to come.

On behalf of Gas City Pool League, our heartfelt condolences go out to Andrew's family and friends.

Rest in peace, Andrew. Thank you for everything. ❤️🎱

LEAGUE COMMUNICATION — YES, APPARENTLY I NEED OFFICE HOURS 😂🎱

League starts at 7:00 p.m.
— and sometimes your league operator would also like to PLAY league at 7:00 p.m. So, going forward, once league play begins, I will not be answering routine league calls, texts or questions. Please check your stat book, schedule and league info. Chances are, the answer is already there!

If something happens that prevents your match from continuing, absolutely come find me. Otherwise, send me a message and I’ll get back to you later.

24-HOUR COOL-DOWN RULE 🏒
If you’re upset about something that happened during league, please sleep on it and contact me the next day. If it still needs addressing, I’m happy to deal with it then.

I’m always happy to help — I just need to be allowed to be a player sometimes too.

Please let me play badly all by myself. I do not require assistance. 😂
