Dear Mayerthorpe Minor Hockey Parents of Female Players,
As player demographics continue to shift, many communities in our region are facing challenges in offering dedicated, full-rostered all-female teams at every division. As a result, local female players often have to choose between playing co-ed hockey or traveling significant distances to remain in a female hockey program.
To help explore potential solutions, we are gathering information from families throughout the region. Our goal is to determine whether there is interest in creating a joint female hockey pipeline or shared association structure that would bring together players from Mayerthorpe, Drayton Valley, and Stony Plain.
To support this discussion, we have created a brief regional survey that takes approximately 3 minutes to complete. The survey will help us better understand:
The number of female players in the region and their birth years.
Family willingness to travel between the participating communities.
Parent interest in a centralized regional female hockey association framework.
Your feedback is extremely valuable and will help guide future conversations and planning efforts for female hockey opportunities in our region.
We encourage all families with female players, regardless of their current level of participation, to take a few moments to complete the survey.

Sincerely,
Mayerthorpe Minor Hockey Association
