Spring Into Marshall Spring Into Marshall Committee and The Sharing Garden, Marshall's community garden. Spring Into Marshall started in 2022 with our first event!

as an annual trade show and dance, which led to help create our goal of creating a community garden and uplifting the members of our local community. The first year we had 40+ unique vendors from arts and crafts, food, metal work, wood work, plants, clothing, etc. At the dance we had 200+ attendees to enjoy a night out with live music, food and drinks. This year is shaping up to be even better!!!!!!

What’s left to plant at the sharing garden - red onions / rutabaga’s and transplant squash’s like - zucchini / spaghetti squash / acorn squash and butternut . Garden has been too wet to do . Bins have been planted with Kale / dill / loose leaf lettuce and a couple of cucs that were given to us . Thanks to Bloomers green house for donating celery plants and Spring Joy Green house for donating flowers for other bins and for car beds . Next week we should be able to plant and transplant the rest - if anyone is available to help at any time of the day just send a message Tks 😊

Rhubarb is doing great at The Sharing Garden ….this is a rhubarb sour cream pie I made last year , you can also put a crumble top on it … once cooked , let cool down then put in fridge to set up this is important otherwise it will just be soupy . It is sooo tasty 😊

Thanks again to the volunteers that came out to plant this evening ,lots was planted , 2 types of corn , 2 types of beets , carrots , peas , yellow onions,yellow , green and purple beans , Swiss chard

Hoping to get some seeds planted at Sharing Garden this evening around 7pm ,if you’re available to join us come on down . Then later in the week we can transplant cabbages,cucumbers , tomatoes etc etc

Seed potatoes have been ordered 😊We had such wonderful potatoes last few years .. volunteer’s have planted tomatoes that are up / cabbages and cucumbers 👍🏻

Just to mention there will not be a Spring Into Marshall event this year . Focus will be more on The Sharing Garden .
