Official Statement.

With many fans, players and help already aware of the situation, unfortunately we will not be taking to the ice for the 25/26 season. Only time will tell what next season will bring.

To answer the biggest questions asked. Coshl is taking a year off to reset, and re establish after incidents that were out of their control are causing them to do so.
We were accepted to the NPHL, however since we are within 30km of the Tweed Oil Kings, they had a right of refusal and chose to use it.
We were excited for the local rivalry and community involvement, only adding to the reasons we started this. But every business owner makes their own strategy and business plan, so we will respect their decision and not comment any further.

We had an amazing first season. Anybody that followed us throughout the inaugural season would have seen that we went from a bunch of individually talented players, to a well oiled team. From there the team attracted even more out of town talent, which in turn led to us to the COSHL finals!

Off the ice, the list is endless to thank. But a huge shout out also has to go to all the players that persevered through our, and the COSHL’s first season. We endured more than a team should have to, and players took on more responsibility than should be asked. They did it working as a family, and ended stronger than i could have imagined. Thank you men for a great season.

We will keep our page active this season into next. In that time we are going to re post, and thank all our sponsors and help that went out on a limb sponsoring a new team. We know we could not have done it without you. We were able to work with a couple local charities and help, and it was only due to other local businesses and people helping us along the way. You allowed a place for local talent to continue to have a competitive place to play, and gave local kids a player to look up to and be excited to see play on a Sunday afternoon. That alone made everything worth it.

Thank you again to everyone that supported us, it did not go unnoticed. We look forward to following some of our players as they continue to play and will be hopeful for a return season in the future.

As much as it hurts us, our condolences go out to the owners and organization of Trent Hills Stallions for the unfortunate end to their season. It is not good for anyone but we will apologize heavily to our fans, and promise an exciting final series coming. We are just as, or more anxious to hit home ice in play off mode, we are ready..

OFFICIAL STATEMENT:

Due to circumstances that are out of the organizations control, the Stallions have chose to forfeit any future games effective immediately for the rest of the 2024/2025 season.
We would like to apologize to Madoc for the abrupt cancelation and only encourage the community to rally behind the Wildcats as they advance to the Central Division Playoff Finals.

As the season comes to a close for us,
Matt and I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for all the support we've received.
Bringing competitive and affordable hockey to Trent Hills was a leap of faith, and the overwhelming love from this community has exceeded our expectations.

I would like to take this time and thank the community of Trent Hills, our sponsors, our game day staff, the friends of the warkworth arena, and the municipality of Trent Hills for all your dedicated support this inaugural season.
Although, we can't say for sure what the future holds for us at this moment - I hope you follow our page in the off season for updates!

🚨ATTENTION FANS🚨

We are shocked and disappointed with this news, but unfortunately the game scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday March 15th has been CANCELLED.

We were just notified that the Trent Hills Stallions have forfeited tomorrows game - we are so sorry to all those that were looking forward to cheering us on as we secured a spot in the FINAL round of the COSHL playoffs.

Although this is not how we wanted to secure this spot, the Madoc Wildcats will be moving on to the final round!!

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused - we, the madoc wildcats, were looking forward to being back on the ice.
