Lloydminster Riptides Swim Club

🏊‍♀️✨ Last weekend, one of our Riptides represented the team at the Alberta Festival meet in Grand Prairie, and what a performance it was!

She qualified for finals in all six of her events and finished the weekend with:

🥈 1 second-place finish
🥉 1 third-place finish
🔟 4 additional top-10 finishes

She also swam personal bests throughout the weekend, broke the 30-second barrier in the 50 Freestyle for the very first time, and set two new club records in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle! ⏱️🏆

We’re incredibly proud of her hard work, determination, and outstanding accomplishments. Congratulations on an amazing weekend of racing and on making Riptides history! 💙🐬🎉

🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️ Nine of our Riptides spent a busy three days at the 2026 SilverRays Invitational hosted by the Strathcona County Swim Club, and they put together an incredible weekend of racing!

Their results included:

🥇 6 first-place finishes
🥈 3 second-place finishes
🥉 4 third-place finishes
🔟 21 additional top-ten finishes

Our swimmers also achieved many personal bests and reached some impressive new qualifying standards:

⭐ 1 Mel Zajac qualifying time
🏅 3 Alberta Championship qualifying times
💙 18 Alberta Provincial Trials qualifying times
🌟 5 Alberta Festival qualifying times
💪 9 ManSask ‘A’ qualifying times

We’re so proud of the hard work, determination, and growth shown by every swimmer throughout the weekend. Congratulations to all of our Riptides on an outstanding meet!

Our swimmers had an amazing meet at the Killarney Long Course Invitational in Calgary! 🏊‍♀️💙

From start to finish, the racing was fast, the energy was high, and the hard work truly showed. We’re so proud of every swimmer for their effort, determination, and team spirit!

🌊💙 Celebrating an incredible season! 💙🌊

What a fantastic way to wrap up the 2025/26 season with our Lloydminster Riptides at our BBQ and Awards Night! Despite the weather, it was great to see so many swimmers and families come together to celebrate an amazing year of hard work, growth, and success. 🏊‍♀️🔥

A huge thank you to L & L Oilfield/Mechanical Services for providing the BBQ and helping make the evening possible—we truly appreciate your support! 🙌 A special thank you to Eric for braving the snow (in true Canadian fashion!) to keep everyone fed on the BBQ—we appreciate you!

💙🌊 Wrapping Up an Amazing Season! 🌊💙

We’re excited to see all our Riptides families tomorrow as we come together for our season wrap‑up BBQ and awards celebration.

It’s been an incredible year — full of growth, hard work, and so many moments to be proud of. We can’t wait to celebrate our swimmers and everything they’ve achieved.
