Now that you understand the Centers and Gates, it’s time to connect the dots!

Channels are created when two activated gates connect, forming a complete pathway between two Centers. These are some of the most consistent and reliable energies in your design, revealing natural strengths, talents, and ways you move through life.

The beautiful part? You don’t need to learn all 36 channels at once.

Start with your channels. They tell a story about how your energy naturally flows and what you’re here to express consistently.

One step at a time, your chart becomes less like a confusing diagram… and more like a map back to yourself.

At first glance, the 64 Gates can seem like the most intimidating part of your Human Design chart… but they’re actually where your unique gifts begin to come into focus.

Think of each gate as a specific potential, quality, or theme of consciousness. Out of the 64 gates, only the colored ones are activated in your chart.

✨ 13 are conscious: the qualities you’re generally aware of and can recognize in yourself.

✨ 13 are unconscious: qualities that still influence your life, but are often easier for other people to see in you than for you to recognize yourself.

Together, these conscious and unconscious activations create the unique energetic blueprint that makes your design unlike anyone else’s.

Don’t worry about memorizing all 64 gates. Start by becoming familiar with the ones that are activated in your own chart. As you understand them, you’ll begin to see why you think, create, relate, and contribute to the world in the way that only you can.

Those coloured shapes are called the 9 Centers in Human Design. But before you panic...

⚠️The shapes, colours, and names aren’t the most important thing to learn first.

What matters most is simply this:

🟢 Is the center defined (coloured)?
⚪ Or is it undefined (white)?

Defined centers represent consistent energy that’s naturally yours.

Undefined centers are where you’re more open to experiencing and amplifying the energy of others—and where some of your greatest wisdom can develop.
