The Legal Nordiques are proud to welcome Aven Skeenum to the organization.

The Onion Lake, Saskatchewan defenceman brings championship experience and a strong junior hockey resume to the Nordiques blue line.

Skeenum is coming off a 2025-26 USPHL Premier Alberta Division Championship with the Onion Lake Scouts. Before his USPHL championship run, Skeenum spent the 2024-25 season in the NJHL, That season also ended with Skeenum becoming an NJHL Champion. Giving him consecutive championship seasons across two different leagues.

The Rivermen send recently Acquired 08 Defenceman Zayne Dettanikkeaze to the Legal Nordiques in exchange for Defenceman Jordan Anderson, Kris Courtorielle, and goaltender Dimitri Morin

The Legal Nordiques are proud to welcome Zayne Dettanikkeaze to the organization.

A former NJHL Champion, Zayne brings a strong combination of youth, experience, and winning pedigree to the Nordiques blue line. The 2008-born left-shot defenceman from Red Deer, Alberta has already experienced success at the junior level and understands what it takes to compete in meaningful games.

Zayne is also committed to East Texas Baptist University, adding another major step to an already promising hockey path.

We’re excited to have Zayne join the Nordiques and bring his championship experience, competitiveness, and upside to Legal this season.
