🎉🥋 Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of World Taekwondo Day! 🌍✨

Do you know why September 4th is so special to Taekwondo martial artists worldwide?

On September 4, 1994, Taekwondo became an official Olympic sport! To honour this milestone, World Taekwondo (WT) designated September 4th World Taekwondo Day in 2006.
As September 4th approaches, we are excited to celebrate its 20th Anniversary!

Taekwondo is much more than physical training.
It brings peace, unity, love, and inclusion to the world across borders, cultures, and religions. Today, over 80 million martial artists train together with respect and hope.

👏🏻👏🏻 So proud of everyone at our August Belt Test!

✨ Today was a very special day at Marine Taekwondo. Watching our students give their absolute all filled our hearts with pride.

🥋 Everyone faced their own challenge today. One student pushed through a leg injury without delaying their test, giving the exact same effort as everyone else. Another made Taekwondo their top priority, coming to the test despite having other important plans. It was a tough day for many, but not a single student gave up.

🏆 Success in a promotion test isn’t just about getting a new belt. It’s about facing a hard challenge and seeing how much you can really do. Today, our students showed us what true success looks like.

💖 To our amazing students, you all did an incredible job. And to our parents, thank you for your endless love and cheers. We couldn’t do this without our Marine Taekwondo family!

🥋 Congratulations on your promotion to 2nd Degree and 1st Degree Black Belt!

Last night, we held an Adult Black Belt Test at Marine Taekwondo following official Kukkiwon promotion regulations. Huge congratulations to Jihoon (Jay) Kim on promoting to 2nd Degree Black Belt and Delfin Diaz on promoting to 1st Degree Black Belt!

Both of them worked tirelessly from start to finish. Even when they were dripping with sweat and breathing hard from exhaustion, they pushed through with incredible spirit.

What made the night extra special was having their children watch them from the side. As Marine Taekwondo students preparing for their own upcoming Black Belt tests, they got to see their dads push through the challenge. By overcoming this tough test, both dads proved themselves to be true martial artists and inspiring role models.

In Taekwondo, a 1st Degree Black Belt marks the completion of the basics and the true beginning of a martial artist’s journey. Reaching a 2nd Degree Black Belt proves a student’s continued dedication, refining their skills with deeper focus and discipline. Together, their achievements show what real commitment looks like.

Completing this test is not the finish line, but a stepping stone toward their next big goals. We are so proud of you both, and we ask everyone to join us in cheering both Black Belts on as they step into their next chapter! 🎉💖
