Some people come for the ride. They stay because of the families.

Brett Hadley has been part of Ride for Sick Kids since the very beginning.

Cycling has always been a big part of Brett’s life and his family has a long history in Newcastle’s cycling community, so getting involved in the Ride made sense.

But somewhere along the way, it became about much more than the bike.

It was the families he met. Hearing their stories. Seeing what it meant for them to have somewhere to stay when their child was sick.

That’s what has kept Brett coming back year after year.

Next week, he’ll be back on the bike again, doing something he loves for families who need it.

You don’t have to ride 500km to be part of it. Ride your way and help families stay together.
