LADIES CLUB CHALLENGE 2025 MATCH PLAY
Congrats to Tannis Quinney and Jayden Drainey on their victory in 2024. 🤩
The 2025 Challenge will begin May 19th thru July 30th, no exceptions!!! Playoffs in August and September.
This year will be the same format, 6-6-6 basis, but because of our 9-hole course this year, we go around the back 9 twice. Entry fee is $50 per person, to be paid on your first match.
Holes 1-6 Scotch Two Ball Scramble: Player A & Player B drive, Player A hits player B's drive and vise versa, then you choose one ball from those second hits and scramble until you are in the hole. So once you are hitting your 3rd shot, it's scramble format.
A rule people seem to forget: it is Summer Rules for their 2nd shot, so no bumping the ball unless your teams agree to Winter Rules. You can not switch out your partner's ball for the 2nd shot, you have to play it as it lies. Once you get to the scramble portion, yes, you get a club length and can use whatever ball you choose. BUT, for the 2nd shot, you must play your partner's ball as it lies.
Holes 7-12 Modified Greensomes: Player A and Player B drive. Choose one ball and then alternate shots from that point until you are in the hole. Ex: choose Player B's drive, Player A's drive is out of play and Player A would hit B's drive for the 2nd shot, Player B would hit the 3rd shot and so on alternating. Again, no exchanging balls and you have to hit it where it lies. On the next tee, you both drive again and repeat.
Holes 13-18 Scramble: Both players drive, choose ball in best position, both hit again from that spot and scramble until in the hole.
If tied after 18, and playoff is needed, begin at hole 10 and continue scrambling as far as needed.
It is match play, so you may not take your own gimmie, but you are allowed to give your opponents a gimmie.
