Our Kipling Home Hardware Beauties came together and brought home 1st place at the 3-on-3 hockey tournament this past weekend. What an incredible accomplishment — proving that teamwork, determination, and heart can come together in a big way. 💪 🏒

We’re proud to recognize one of our own, Kolter Warburton, for his hard work and success this hockey season!

Kolter played with the Quad Town Rebels this year, competing in two tournaments — Yellow Grass in January and Weyburn in March. The team showed incredible determination in Weyburn, battling through a demanding 7-game weekend and earning a well-deserved 3rd place finish. Their effort, resilience, and teamwork truly paid off.

This season, the Rebels made great strides and built strong bonds both on and off the ice. The team was made up of players from Indian Head Chiefs, Montmartre Ice Dogs, Quad Town Rebels, and our very own Kipling Royals.

With the carded season now wrapped up, Kolter is already gearing up for what’s next. In just a few weeks, he’ll hit the ice for his second spring hockey season with the 2018 Wheatland Wild Gold team, starting with their first tournament in Brandon, MB.

We would also like to give a shout out to coach Scott Leier for stepping up and organizing a team out of Quad Town this year & giving this group of young hockey players an opportunity to play a carded season. He also went out of his way to attend Kipling’s home tournament & the Grenfell tournament to show support for his players outside of the carded season.

Congratulations, Kolter! We’re proud of your dedication and can’t wait to see what you accomplish next. Keep up the great work! 👏

Let’s hear it for the girls! 💜

Emma Dew & Lillian Highmoor played with the SouthEast Wheat Queens Carded U11 team this year on top of playing their regular season with the Royals. They played three tournaments: one in Portage La Priaire, one in Swift current and one in Estevan.

Lily got the opportunity to learn how to play forward at the start of the season and then was really able to show off her defensive skills in the last half of the season and this is where she truly shined. She had a great season and was able to make new friends from all over south east Saskatchewan.

Emma played both defence and centre this season. Her favourite memory of the season is winning the B-side banner in the Portage Cup!

We would like to send a big shout out to our Kipling boys, C**t Dew, Jaxen Carter and Waylon Carter of the U9 Pipestone Penguins carded hockey team. They went undefeated all weekend at the Weyburn tournament this weekend! Good job boys!

Our last “Where are they now Wednesday” of the season is a special one! Our own minor hockey president- Logan Dew! 👑

Hockey has played a big role in Logan’s life. He grew up playing minor hockey in Kipling before making his way to play Junior A with Yorkton Terriers and Waywayseecappo Wolverines. Logan also played with the KW Oil King’s during their provincial run this season! Now Logan has four kids involved with minor hockey & puts in countless hours of coaching & leading our organization. Thank-you for all you do Logan!

👑 Where are they now Wednesday 👑

Austin Bourhis started minor hockey in Kennedy until 8U when he came to play pee-wee hockey in Kipling. He played with Kipling for several seasons, as well as with Moose Mountain & Wawota. He then played one year of U17 with the Pipestone Valley Jets. Next, He played a season with the Tisdale Trojans before going to play in the SJHL with the Yorkton Terriers.

Austin then played 2 years in the WHL with the PA Raiders Played before going back to finish his junior eligibility back in Yorkton with the Terriers. After junior he played 5 years with the U of R cougars in the U Sport Hockey league.

Today, Austin still plays a lot of rec hockey and was fortunate enough to come back home and play provincials with the Oil Kings this year!
