40 Years. One Rodeo. One heck of a volunteer.
You can't talk about the Irvine Rodeo without talking about Larry.
Larry has been here from the very beginning — 40 years of showing up, putting in the work, and helping make this rodeo happen year after year.
He's down at the grounds almost daily, looking after things, finding sponsors, checking ground conditions, and doing all the behind-the-scenes work that most people never see.
And let's talk about those grounds for a minute.
The ground has been FANTASTIC these past years.
And anyone who has ever talked to a barrel racer knows that is no small accomplishment.
It takes a special kind of person to keep barrel racers happy about ground conditions — and Larry, you've been doing it.
So while we're celebrating the 40th Annual Irvine Rodeo, we're also celebrating Larry's 40 years of volunteering and dedication.
Thank you, Larry.
And of course… THANK YOU to our sponsors!
Small-town rodeos don't just magically happen.
They happen because businesses, ranches, families and community members continue to believe in them and support them.
As the world gets bigger, shinier and busier, it's easy for small-town rodeos to get overlooked. But these are the events that bring communities together, give kids memories they'll talk about for years, and keep western traditions alive.
So please, when you see these businesses and families supporting the Irvine Rodeo, support them right back.
A HUGE thank you to:

but they sure know how to put on a hell of a weekend.
