🎩 “In small communities like ours, kindness travels far. One good deed leads to another, and before long it becomes part of the heartbeat of the place we share,” said Mayor Terry Glover.

💛 The Township invites residents to take part in the second annual Good Deeds Day in Lake of Bays. A small act of kindness can travel far in a community like ours.

🌱 Residents are encouraged to do a simple good deed today, March 16. Share your good deeds on social media with and encourage others to do the same!

The Lake of Bays annual Day of Good Deeds is coming up! There are so many ways to keep the kindness and good deeds rolling in our community ❤️ Let’s do this ❤️

💬 What good deed would you add to this list? Share your ideas in the comments ahead of Good Deeds Day on Monday, March 16 in Lake of Bays.

🛒 Donate to a local food bank or pantry, like the Lake of Bays Winter Pantry
✨ Reach out to a local community group about future volunteering
🍁 Ask a sugar shack neighbour if they need help with maple syrup this year
🌲 Help a neighbour clean up fallen branches from the recent ice storm
❄️ Help sand a neighbour’s steps or driveway if they are slippery
🪟 Clean a neighbour’s civic address sign so it’s easier for emergency services to read
🪵 Help a neighbour with firewood
📮 Pick up mail for a neighbour with a long driveway or limited mobility
🚗 Offer a ride to a neighbour who has trouble getting around
💬 Check in on someone who lives alone, especially in rural areas
🐾 Help a neighbour walk their dog
🌲 Pick up litter along a trail, boat launch, or roadside
🪙 Pay for someone’s coffee at a local spot
📚 Drop a book at a neighbourhood book cubby

🕧 Throwback Thursday: A few years ago, Mayor Terry Glover proclaimed March 16 as Good Deeds Day in honour of the Huntsville Sting U13 Black hockey team. They won the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup by completing more than 1,300 good deeds in the community. They call the arena in Baysville their home ice 😎

Congratulations to the Huntsville Sting U11 Black team for winning $20,000 for our Huntsville Hospital Foundation and for doing lots of good deeds in our communities! Way to go team! ❤️

Exciting Proclamation from the Township of Lake of Bays, Muskoka today naming March 16th as the Annual Lake of Bays Day of Good Deeds! Thank you LOB and thank you to the Huntsville U11 Sting team who have been working hard doing great acts of kindness for this years Good Deeds Cup! We hope that you win and we hope that the Good Deeds continue in our communities for years to come!

Residents are encouraged to participate in acts of kindness every day, especially on March 16, and to share their good deeds on social media using the hashtag .

The Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup Contest ends this Thursday March 6 at midnight.

The Huntsville Sting U11 Black Team needs our help to push them back to first place and win $100K for Huntsville Hospital!

The 2025 Chevrolet Good Deeds Challenge has begun again and this morning Breakfast Television came to The Lake of Bays arena to film our team to help promote and inspire hockey teams across the country to do good deeds in their communities this year!

We would like to wish the best to the Huntsville U11 team and all the other teams across Canada doing good deeds and making lives better this year! Its such a great experience with lifelong impacts! Thank you Chevrolet !
