Havelock Express Fans Code of Conduct
We're all here to enjoy the game, support the players, and create a positive, family-friendly atmosphere. Softball is about fun, teamwork, skill development, and sportsmanship. Let's keep the focus on the players and the love of the game!
As a Fan, I Pledge To:
• Cheer positively and loudly for our players and our team. Celebrate great plays, hustle, and effort from everyone on the field.
• Support the players, but leave the coaching to the coaches. We want you to cheer enthusiastically, but please refrain from giving instructions or directing players during the game.
• Respect the umpires and officials. No call has ever been overturned from the stands. Umpires are volunteers or professionals doing their best-arguing or yelling at them takes away from the game.
• Show respect for the opposing team, coaches, players, and fans. Cheer for good plays regardless of which team makes them. No booing, taunting, or negative comments.
• Keep it family-friendly. Use positive language only. No profanity, obscene gestures, or disruptive behavior. Remember, kids (including your own) are watching and learning from the adults.
• Promote good sportsmanship. Applaud both teams at the end of the game. Encourage fair play and help maintain a welcoming environment for everyone.
• Prioritize safety. Stay behind designated areas, do not enter the field or dugouts, and avoid throwing objects or interfering with play.
• Be a role model. Help keep the game fun for the children. Excessive complaining or sideline coaching can take the joy out of the sport.
Consequences
Failure to follow this code may result in a warning, removal from the stands/venue, or suspension from future games, at the discretion of league officials.
Thank you for being a great fan and helping make softball a positive experience for our players! Let’s play ball! ⚾️🥎
