Hampton Jr. Hockey Team Update

While this isn’t the update we were hoping to share, we want to provide a quick and positive look at where things stand.

At this time, it looks like the Hampton area will not be able to ice a Junior team for the 2026–2027 season. Although we were able to secure strong financial backing, a committed team staff, and build a sustainable long-term plan, we were unable to finalize the ice time needed to move forward this year.

That said , there’s a lot to be encouraged about.

The support from the community has been overwhelmingly positive, and it’s clear that there is both interest and excitement around bringing Junior hockey to Hampton. This past year has allowed us to build a solid foundation, and we truly believe this is something that can become a reality with collaboration between all user groups.

Our goal remains the same: to create an opportunity for local players to bridge the gap between U18 and U25+ hockey, while also adding to the vibrancy of our community and supporting the long-term success of the arena.

We’re optimistic about the future and confident that with a bit more work, we can find a way to make this happen.

For now, this page will be taken offline while we regroup and continue discussions behind the scenes. When there are updates or progress to share, we’ll be sure to let everyone know.

🚨 Exciting News for Hampton Hockey Fans! 🚨

As many of you may have heard, a dedicated group has come together with a goal of bringing Junior Hockey back to the Hampton area as part of the NBJHL.

We’re currently working through the application process and are actively looking to secure team sponsorships as well as key staff positions, from a Head Coach and Assistant Coaches to a Team Manager and more.

We have also been actively working with the Town of Hampton on securing ice time, and things are looking very promising. With that piece coming together, our main focus now is securing the sponsorship and team staff needed to complete the application process.

This is a huge opportunity for our community. Not only would it bring competitive junior hockey back to Hampton, but it also creates a valuable pathway for players under 21 from across the Kennebecasis Valley through to Salisbury to continue playing the game they love.
