A program for beginners that want to learn to skate and have fun. This program integrates fundamentals of basic skating skills with basic instruction in Ringette skills and rules. ng skills and developing confidence. U8 - Bunny
A U8 team (age 7 and under) gives our youngest players an opportunity to play teams in the surrounding Hamilton area. This focus is on continued development of skating and ringette skills combined with an introduction to a more competitive level of play. Program runs from October to March. U10 (Novice) - +18 (Open) Programs
Our recreational / competitive program offers ringette instruction for players from under 10 years of age U10(Novice) to adult 18+(Open). These teams play in SRRL (Southern Region Ringette League) or CORL (Central Ontario Ringette League) depending on level. The emphasis is on hard work, team play and good sportsmanship. Teams competing in the "A" level are Provincial Teams with league play in the Central Ontario Ringette League (CORL). These teams vie to compete at the Ontario Provincial Championships. These teams compete in 3 to 6 tournaments per season. Teams competing at the B level play are Hamilton regional teams with league play in the Southern Region Ringette League (SRRL). Regional teams also compete in the Southern Region Ringette Association (SRRA) Championship Tournament held yearly in late March / early April. These Teams may compete in 1 to 3 additional tournaments per season planned through a joint effort amongst parents, players and coaching staff. The 18+ (Open) Rec teams are Adult teams with an emphasis on FUN. These non competitive teams that usually play amongst themselves and occasionally against similar recreational teams in neighboring associations. The season runs October to April. Games are typically once per week dependent on home and away teams ice schedules. Games occur mostly on weekends, but there may be some weeknight games. Practices are typically once per week and emphasize skill development and strategy. Some tournaments may include Friday daytime games. Tryouts for Provincial Teams occur in both the spring and fall.
