On our way back from Beaver Mountain, the Deeganator and I stopped at the Ontario Power Generation trail information sign to learn more about this incredible hydroelectric site hidden in the Northern Ontario wilderness.
From here, you can see the massive work taking place, the fleet of heavy equipment, and the brand-new chute that was replaced last year to help keep the generating station operating efficiently.
It's amazing to think that while most people are out enjoying the trails, there's an entire crew working behind the scenes to keep the power flowing across Ontario. π·β‘
It's a fascinating stop that blends engineering, history, and the rugged beauty of the Northβall in one place.
Have you ever stopped here to read the information boards, or do you usually ride right by?
