If you play in the Erie Women’s Hockey League, Ivy Johnson may look familiar to you, maybe with a whistle in her hand.

Ivy helped referee some of our games this past season, and after just returning from the Esso Cup, she spoke at the Hamilton PWHL expansion announcement conference.

Unlike Ivy, we EWHL players have no hope in playing in the PWHL 😅 but it’s pretty amazing to watch women’s hockey continue to grow and create opportunities for the next generation 🏒💜

A huge congratulations to our very first EWHL Champions, the Sin Bin Sisters!

I want to send a big thank you to our amazing sponsors, the community for supporting women’s hockey, our team captains and organizers who helped everything run smoothly, and of course every single player who came out each week to make this league what it is.

Starting this league was all about creating a place for women in our community to stay active, compete, and have fun playing the game we love, and thanks to all of you, that goal became a reality.

The 2025/2026 season was just the beginning. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead for the EWHL! 💙 Stay tuned for 2026/2027 registration information.
