Breathe True Hello, my name is Barbara Dametto, and I am the founder of Breathe True in Guelph, Ontario. Please visit my website at www.breathetrue.com

Breathe True is a space for transformation through movement, healing, and creative expression. Breathe True Yoga is an umbrella organization consisting of several different modalities that teach and provide experiences to the public. Within the context of personal, artistic, and spiritual development, these approaches are gateways for exploring the nature of our minds and bodies. Classes, full-day, weekend, and week-long retreats offer people opportunities to delve lightly or deeply into the teachings. I like to combine different modalities so that what is offered is unique and diverse. For example, a workshop on chakra yoga may include asana, meditation, sound work, and expressive arts. This way, people can experience one theme in many different ways. Breathe True Yoga also offers private sessions in chakra numerology, sound healing, and expressive arts.

A breath arises.
The spine begins to ripple.
The body spirals.
The hands open.
The heart expands.

Nothing needs to be forced.

Movement becomes a listening.

We feel the subtle pulse beneath the gesture,
the vibration beneath the breath,
the silence within the movement.

This is the dance of Shiva and Shakti.

Stillness moving.
Movement resting in stillness.

In embodied practice,
we are not trying to create a perfect shape.

We allow the shape to reveal itself.

We sense where life wants to move,
where it pauses,
where it expands,
where it dissolves.

And slowly,
the body becomes less an object that we move…

and more a living mandala
through which Shakti moves.
