TRAIN THE WAY YOU PLAY! 🧤⚽️

One thing I always preach to my goalkeepers is that training sessions must be realistic, game like, and purposeful. Everything we do on the training pitch should have a direct connection to what we experience on game day.

You can’t expect to perform in games at a level you haven’t prepared for in training. Every repetition, every decision, every movement, and every situation we put ourselves in during training helps shape the goalkeeper we become when the pressure is on.

Training isn’t just about making saves. It’s about developing habits, building confidence, improving decision making, and preparing your mind and body for the demands of a real game. The more realistic our training is, the more comfortable and confident we become when those same situations happen on game day.

Remember, confidence doesn’t just appear when you step onto the pitch. It’s built through preparation, consistency, hard work, and trusting the habits you’ve developed in training.

Show up with purpose. Train with intensity. Demand more from yourself every single session. Make every repetition count!

When game day arrives, you should be ready to trust your preparation, trust your abilities, and perform with confidence.

Today, I want to take a moment to recognize all the amazing female athletes and goalkeepers I have had the privilege and honour of training, mentoring, and guiding throughout my journey as a coach.

What these incredible athletes may not realize is just how much of an impact THEY have made on MY life! Every athlete has inspired me in their own way, and I am truly grateful to be part of their journeys.

For far too long, women’s sports have been overlooked and pushed into the shadows. It’s time we change that narrative! Female athletes deserve to be celebrated, recognized, and given the same opportunities to shine.

I have said this since day one: I AM PROUD AND HONOURED TO MENTOR FEMALE GOALKEEPERS! Day in and day out, these athletes show incredible leadership, dedication, a relentless work ethic, positivity, and a fearless WARRIOR MENTALITY! They overcome challenges, push boundaries, support their teammates, and inspire the next generation to believe in themselves.
They are more than athletes. They are leaders, role models, and inspirations, both on and off the field. Their strength, determination, and passion deserve to be seen and celebrated!

To all the female goalkeepers and athletes I have had the privilege of working with: THANK YOU! You have made a lasting impact on me, and I will always be proud to stand in your corner, support your dreams, and be part of your journey. You are family!

LOYALTY MEANS EVERYTHING ❤️⚽

As a coach, loyalty is one of the biggest values I carry, not just in football, but in every aspect of my life. I’ve always believed that loyalty is about standing by the people who stand by you, supporting the people who believe in you, and remaining true to those who have earned a place in your life.

As a coach, I don’t just see athletes as players. I see them as people, as family, and as individuals whose journeys I genuinely care about. When I commit to someone, I commit wholeheartedly. I will support you, believe in you, push you to become the best version of yourself, and stand beside you through both the good times and the difficult moments. My loyalty doesn’t disappear when things get hard, when mistakes happen, or when the journey becomes challenging.

I’m a firm believer that loyalty is shown through actions, not just words. It’s about being there when it matters most, keeping your word, having people’s backs, and never forgetting the people who have been part of your journey. I will always give the same loyalty, respect, and commitment to the people in my life that I hope to receive in return.

At the end of the day, football is bigger than results, trophies, and achievements. It’s about relationships, trust, respect, and the people you meet along the way. The game will eventually move on, but the connections we build and the people we stand beside are what truly matter.

I will never claim to be perfect, but one thing I will always stand by is my loyalty to the people I care about. If you are part of my life, my team, or my family, know that I will always do my best to support you, believe in you, and stand by you.

Loyalty is not something I switch on and off depending on the situation. It’s part of who I am, both as a coach and as a person. And that will never change. ❤️🤝

As a coach, one of the most important things I want my athletes to remember is to always be yourself.

Never put so much pressure on yourself that you forget to enjoy the journey. Embrace every opportunity, every challenge, every mistake, and every experience that comes your way. Not everything will go perfectly, and that’s okay. You’re learning, growing, and becoming the person and athlete you’re meant to be.

Remember, you don’t have to prove yourself to everyone, and you don’t have to have everything figured out overnight. Trust your journey, trust your abilities, and continue to work hard while staying true to who you are.

As a goalkeeper, the pressure will always be there. There will be expectations, challenges, setbacks, and moments when things don’t go your way. But never let those moments define you or take away the joy you have for the game.

Embrace the journey. Embrace the challenges. Embrace the opportunities. Most importantly, embrace who YOU are.

Never lose yourself trying to become someone you think everyone else wants you to be. Keep your head up, keep working, keep believing, and continue to be YOU. That’s more than enough.

As your coach, I’ll always remind you that your growth is important, your development matters, but so does your happiness, your confidence, and the person you are becoming along the way.

Take a breath. Trust yourself. Enjoy the journey. And never stop being YOU. ❤️🧤

Today is a reminder of just how blessed and grateful we are for the people we have in our lives. I want to take a moment to express how thankful I am for my family, friends, and every single one of our Shot Stopper Academy athletes and their parents. ❤️

Having all of you be a part of our lives means more than words can express. Your trust, support, love, and belief in us and our Academy will never be taken for granted. You are so much more than athletes and families within our Academy you are FAMILY! 🫶🏼

I am truly grateful for every relationship, every memory, every moment of growth, and every opportunity we have to share this journey together. None of it would be the same without all of you!

Wishing everyone a Thanksgiving filled with love, happiness, laughter, and beautiful memories with the people who mean the most to you. ❤️🙏🏼

As a coach, one of the most important lessons I want my athletes to understand is that failure is not something to fear, but something to embrace.

Whether you’re a goalkeeper standing between the posts or an individual navigating life, you will make mistakes, face setbacks, and experience moments when things don’t go your way. But those moments don’t define you. How you respond to them does.

As a goalkeeper, you might make ten incredible saves, but people may remember the one goal you conceded. That’s part of the game. What matters is having the mentality to pick yourself up, learn from your mistakes, and come back stronger.

Winning is great, but winning isn’t always the most important thing. Sometimes, our greatest lessons come from our losses, our mistakes, and our toughest moments. Success shows us what we can do, but failure challenges our character, builds resilience, exposes our weaknesses, and teaches us how to improve.

As a coach, I would rather see an athlete make a mistake, take responsibility, learn from it, and grow than play with fear because they are afraid of getting something wrong.

Don’t play afraid to fail. Play brave enough to grow.
Remember, this goes beyond football. In life, you will face challenges that test your confidence, patience, and mentality. Embrace those moments. They are opportunities to become a stronger athlete, a better goalkeeper, and a better human being.

The goal isn’t to never fail. The goal is to never stop learning, improving, and believing in yourself.
You may learn little from success, but failure has a way of teaching you lessons that stay with you for life.
Pick yourself up. Learn from it. Work harder. Come back stronger.

NEVER BE AFRAID OF FAILURE. EMBRACE IT. LEARN FROM IT. GROW THROUGH IT.
