Moving with your breath is easier said than done.
It takes focus, control, and a real connection to your body. And that doesnât happen overnight.
Thatâs why I tell my clients: Donât stress about the breathing right away. Start by moving with control and try not to hold your breath. Once the movement feels natural, the breath usually starts to fall into place.
And when it does, a lot of good things start happening:
- Your breath helps regulate your nervous system so movement feels calmer and more focused
- It helps coordinate your core with your movement
- It creates rhythm and control in every rep
Pilates isnât about rushing through reps, itâs about owning each one.
