I’ve probably been doing Pilates personally for over 4 years now!

I first tried it to help with some running injuries and mobility issues. It was also recommended by my naturopath as a better way to move my body to reduce stress, inflammation, and help support my hormones.

To say I’m hooked now, would be an understatement. 🖤

Moving with your breath is easier said than done.

It takes focus, control, and a real connection to your body. And that doesn’t happen overnight.

That’s why I tell my clients: Don’t stress about the breathing right away. Start by moving with control and try not to hold your breath. Once the movement feels natural, the breath usually starts to fall into place.

And when it does, a lot of good things start happening:
- Your breath helps regulate your nervous system so movement feels calmer and more focused
- It helps coordinate your core with your movement
- It creates rhythm and control in every rep

Pilates isn’t about rushing through reps, it’s about owning each one.
