Did you know that if the gas pedal gets stuck, the Zamboni won’t start?!

Well… neither did we. 😂🤦‍♀️

🚨 Appreciation Alert 🚨

As Facilities Manager, my focus is on budgets, improvements, revenue and continuing to put our rink on the map.

As President of GMH, Jordan's job is to advocate for his organization and its players while recognizing that GMH's success is tied to the success of the rink and our community. 🏒🤝

We've agreed on lots and disagreed on plenty over the years. What I've always respected is that Jordan will tell you exactly what he thinks and isn't afraid to challenge ideas when he believes there's a better way forward.

Is Jordan perfect? GOD NO! 😂
He's a sarcastic sales guy with strong opinions and a filter that's optional at best.

Case in point (made only a few minutes ago while writing this post)
Jordan: "Can we practice Thursday?"
Me: "Ice should be ready, I'll let you know."
..a few hours later...

Me: "100% confirmed. You can practice Thursday."
Jordan: "We were anyway."
🙄😂

When we're boom flooding and preparing for another season, Jordan shows up. Always! More often than not, he's got his boys right beside him. He's helping make sure the season starts, lending a hand and teaching the next generation the value of volunteering and giving back. ❤️🏒

🥅 The ice goes in.
🔇 The noise settles down.
🏒 Hockey starts.

And that's the first goal of every season.

Thanks, Jordan. Looking forward to another season of answering questions that apparently weren't really questions. The rink appreciates you. My blood pressure... not always. 😂👊🏒

🚨 THE ZAMBONI HAS ENTERED THE GAME! 🚨

What a weekend! So many hours walking that slab. Flood after flood, layer after layer.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out and helped build the ice! 🙏

And now… JD HAS ENTERED THE CHAT.
I promise you, there is no one happier to be in this moment than JD! 👋😂

Only a few more days to go… 👀🏒⛸️

Huge thanks to Arena Services for another fantastic job at La Palestre!

Now it’s back to FLOOD. FREEZE. REPEAT. ❄️
